I swear I’m working on some proper blank verse but this week I’m about up to “have fun with scansion, be serious later” so… I did.

I got to hear John Williams in concert about a year and a half ago; he did three encores, including the Superman, Raiders, and Jaws theme.. Your words fit perfectly. I especially liked the Jaws verse. Silly people.
I had originally intended to do something with the Lone Ranger theme, but Indy was stuck in my head…. and I was awfully proud of the Jaws verse, so thanks!
I think it brilliantly captures that sense of rising panic the music conveys as the shark comes in. (I haven’t actually seen Jaws myself, sadly. I might, someday…)
I haven’t either; read the book a few times, though. I feel like I ought to see it but I also wonder if it really holds up after all these years… Still, the special effects can’t really be worse than the rubber shark in Deep Blue Sea, right?
This is so clever and funny. I laughed out loud at the Jaws stanza. Star Wars one was particularly good as well.
